Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aila Ahangba took the kick off in the first half of the match. Robai Julius Ngoka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afolabi Akinlabi having to interfere. Afolabi Akinlabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robai Julius Ngoka in the 4th minute of play. If Aila Ahangba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afolabi Akinlabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robai Julius Ngoka in the 16th minute of play. Aila Ahangba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eche Ekeh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Afolabi Akinlabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afolabi Akinlabi came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Keelby United's Eche Ekeh. But to his dismay, Eche Ekeh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th minute, Goodness Ahmed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aila Ahangba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bukar Jajere hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 35 minutes of play, Keelby United's Robai Julius Ngoka made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afolabi Akinlabi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ozuluonye Hashimu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osondu Sodje made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ozuluonye Hashimu sent off a good shot on target. Osondu Sodje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aila Ahangba in the 43rd minute of play. Afolabi Akinlabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robai Julius Ngoka in the 47th minute of the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eche Ekeh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Eche Ekeh took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Afolabi Akinlabi to make any attempt to save it. Osondu Sodje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozuluonye Hashimu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Aila Ahangba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ozuluonye Hashimu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osondu Sodje having to interfere. When Robai Julius Ngoka got free in front of the goal in the 69th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Afolabi Akinlabi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Aila Ahangba struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Osondu Sodje didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gillingham. The audience was convinced that Aila Ahangba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osondu Sodje was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Eche Ekeh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ozuluonye Hashimu struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Osondu Sodje didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gillingham. The audience was convinced that Aila Ahangba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osondu Sodje was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Keelby United's zone, Ozuluonye Hashimu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osondu Sodje came out of the goal and Ozuluonye Hashimu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Obinna Mbanongun hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Keelby United got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Dayo. After 95 minutes Keelby United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Onyema Philip who took care of the corner kick. The Keelby United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keelby United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
