The referee showed Ijeawele Nnadozie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wole Ogor in the 19th minute of play forced Old Clipstone United's goalkeeper Obumnaeme Omoloko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Old Clipstone United's Edafe Asuzu got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Noma Amokachi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Obumnaeme Omoloko skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Old Clipstone United's zone, Kunle Adebakin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Obumnaeme Omoloko came out of the goal and Kunle Adebakin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chuma Amesiemaka kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Omotayo Oguntominiyi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Omotayo Oguntominiyi came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Old Clipstone United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omotayo Oguntominiyi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Old Clipstone United getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Omotayo Oguntominiyi hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Kunle Adebakin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Obumnaeme Omoloko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wole Ogor struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Obumnaeme Omoloko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Withernsea. Old Clipstone United's Ijeawele Nnadozie got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Ijeawele Nnadozie off the ground. Obumnaeme Omoloko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kunle Adebakin in the 41st minute of the match. Withernsea's Kunle Adebakin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omotayo Oguntominiyi to make the kick off. Old Clipstone United's Omotayo Oguntominiyi got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Withernsea's Kunle Adebakin got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes, Chuma Amesiemaka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Withernsea and the Old Clipstone United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Withernsea got a freekick which was hit by Chuma Amesiemaka. In the 74th minute of the match Noma Amokachi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Obumnaeme Omoloko skillfully saved the ball. Ihiabe Nsika's late challenge caught a Withernsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ihiabe Nsika helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Old Clipstone United got a freekick which was hit by Ihiabe Nsika. When Withernsea's Wole Ogor in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Old Clipstone United's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the game, Wole Ogor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Obumnaeme Omoloko. Wole Ogor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 90th minute, Old Clipstone United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kunle Adebakin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wole Ogor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Obumnaeme Omoloko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Withernsea players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
