An unexpectedly hard shot by Okwukwe Ibeabuchi in the 3rd minute of play forced Redruth AFC's goalkeeper Opeyemi Betara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Opeyemi Betara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Muda Iyenemi in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Redruth AFC's zone, Okwukwe Ibeabuchi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Opeyemi Betara came out of the goal and Okwukwe Ibeabuchi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Poole City's zone, Babajide Ofoche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akpan Onwuama came out of the goal and Babajide Ofoche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Poole City's Akpan Onwuama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chinwendu Adekwu in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Chinwendu Adekwu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akpan Onwuama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Redruth AFC's goalkeeper Opeyemi Betara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Redruth AFC's Opeyemi Betara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okwukwe Ibeabuchi in the 36th minute of play. Okwuoma Abodunde hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Muda Iyenemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Okwukwe Ibeabuchi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Opeyemi Betara. Okwukwe Ibeabuchi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Okwukwe Ibeabuchi made the kick off in the second half. Akatamba Iyawe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Okwukwe Ibeabuchi in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Opeyemi Betara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Okwukwe Ibeabuchi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Redruth AFC's Opeyemi Betara. Opeyemi Betara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Chinwendu Adekwu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Babajide Ofoche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Okwukwe Ibeabuchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romanus Ogunmekan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Opeyemi Betara. Redruth AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Muda Iyenemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Opeyemi Betara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Redruth AFC's Opeyemi Betara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muda Iyenemi in the 84th minute of play. Muda Iyenemi took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Opeyemi Betara. Opeyemi Betara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 90th match minute, Redruth AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okwuoma Abodunde to maneuver through the defense. Opeyemi Betara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Okwukwe Ibeabuchi in the 94th minute of the match. Redruth AFC's Opeyemi Betara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muda Iyenemi in the 97th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poole City had won after a very even match.
