Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Osinachi Ewuga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Duro Gambo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mbadiwe Ajunwa in the 4th minute of the match. Gideon Ademowo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Osinachi Ewuga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duro Gambo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Ironville FC's Anorigwo Enakarhire shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Iheanacho Onobo but with some difficulty. Gideon Ademowo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iheanacho Onobo having to interfere. Duro Gambo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osinachi Ewuga in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ironville FC defense, Osinachi Ewuga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duro Gambo. The Ironville FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duro Gambo should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Kodilinye Bagudo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamond fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ironville FC the free kick. The supporters of Ironville FC booed when Diamond fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kodilinye Bagudo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Diamond fc's Iheanacho Onobo got control of the ball when Gideon Ademowo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Ngozichukwuka Azazi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ironville FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ngozichukwuka Azazi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Osinachi Ewuga came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Diamond fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osinachi Ewuga couldn't finish the play. Duro Gambo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osinachi Ewuga, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ironville FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Adiele was slow to take the kick. During this time Diamond fc's players had a chance to rest. Ogbuehi Amarachi made a great header on Diamond fc's corner, it was just that Ironville FC's Duro Gambo managed to reach the ball for a save. Mbadiwe Ajunwa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chialuka Eromoigbe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duro Gambo having to make a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ngozichukwuka Azazi to make the kick off. Osinachi Ewuga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Duro Gambo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iheanacho Onobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ngozichukwuka Azazi in the 62nd minute of the match. Ngozichukwuka Azazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osinachi Ewuga struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Duro Gambo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diamond fc. 70 minutes into the game, Oluchi Odumegwu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ironville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamond fc the free kick. The supporters of Diamond fc booed when Ironville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oluchi Odumegwu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duro Gambo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mbadiwe Ajunwa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. In the 76th minute, Mbadiwe Ajunwa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osinachi Ewuga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Mbadiwe Ajunwa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ironville FC's Duro Gambo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osinachi Ewuga in the 93rd minute of play. Diamond fc's Mbadiwe Ajunwa got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Diamond fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ironville FC.
