Uka Achima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Otutodilichukwu Iwuchukwu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Yussuf Bodams made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ekpekurede Aro in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uka Achima to make the kick off. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 82nd minute, Ekpekurede Aro made a precise shot to the right of Yussuf Bodams. Royal Legends Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Jibunoh Shuaibu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Uka Achima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yussuf Bodams was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 94 played minutes Meols got a freekick which was hit by Duncan Umanah.
