Akobundu Adar was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. A collision led to Meols getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Duncan Umanah hit a great ball. When Akeem Agboola fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Latchingdon's protests and gave Akeem Agboola a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Latchingdon got a freekick which was hit by Akeem Agboola. Ekpekurede Aro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ndudi Agboare having to interfere. Ugonna Obafuso hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Meols's Akobundu Adar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Meols from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 31 in the game by Dogo Obiamaka from a close distance when the talented Akobundu Adar managed to make a qualified save. Meols's players were relieved. Uka Achima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Akeem Agboola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Akobundu Adar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Duncan Umanah fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meols's protests and gave Duncan Umanah a yellow card for diving instead.

In the 51st minute, Abayomi Ningi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Uka Achima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ndudi Agboare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ndudi Agboare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uka Achima in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Uka Achima reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ndudi Agboare. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uka Achima in the 70th minute of play forced Latchingdon's goalkeeper Ndudi Agboare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uka Achima in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ndudi Agboare prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dogo Obiamaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Akeem Agboola in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akobundu Adar saved Meols from getting behind. Akobundu Adar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akeem Agboola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Latchingdon fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Latchingdon's Akeem Agboola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ossy Nwanyinnaya hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Uka Achima struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Ndudi Agboare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meols. Meols's Akobundu Adar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akeem Agboola in the 93rd minute of play. Ndudi Agboare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uka Achima, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Meols players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Latchingdon from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
