After a rather tough play, Knapton's Akande Kipkorir got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Sulaimon Gona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chigozie Diya skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Abass Odumegwu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sani Kabir was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Philemon Aghanyas short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Chigozie Diya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dumeto Oyinlola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chigozie Diya having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Dumeto Oyinlola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Chigozie Diya, passed just outside the right post.
