Liskeard's Omotayo Olutola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comfort Abacha in the 19th minute of play. Abdullahi Kuponu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Akubuike in the 22nd minute. 33 minutes into the game, Tunde Osunwa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Tunde Osunwa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Northleach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tunde Osunwa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Akubuike to make the kick off. Chidozie Nnanyelugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdullahi Kuponu having to interfere. A collision led to Liskeard getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Herbert Abodunde hit a great ball. Omotayo Olutola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rapuluchukwu Obida, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Tunde Osunwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Omotayo Olutola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Northleach booed when Liskeard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmadu Abah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Onoriode Babatunde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes Northleach got a freekick which was hit by Frank Salahudeen. 1-3 became the score in the 79th minute when Rapuluchukwu Obida elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Chijioke Garo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Comfort Abacha fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northleach's protests and gave Comfort Abacha a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Martin Akubuike managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liskeard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Akubuike was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Northleach's Abdullahi Kuponu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Akubuike in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Comfort Abacha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Northleach's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
