Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kent Nkut started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Liskeard booed when Harrogate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aluka Bada didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Kent Nkut took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Omotayo Olutola to make any attempt to save it. In the 15th minute, Aniedi Bagudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liskeard's Martin Akubuike got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chikere Ohuabunwa hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Ndubuagha Ogor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Harrogate's goalkeeper Nnamdi Akeredolu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Harrogate got a freekick which was hit by Izuchukwu Dooyum. In the 30th minute of the match Ifesinachi Shahada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nnamdi Akeredolu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Omotayo Olutola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Nkut in the 38th minute of play. Kent Nkut kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Akubuike in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nnamdi Akeredolu saved Harrogate from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Aluka Bada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Chidozie Nnanyelugo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nnamdi Akeredolu, passed just outside the right post. 53 minutes into the match, Martin Akubuike notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Harrogate's Nnamdi Akeredolu. Nnamdi Akeredolu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Liskeard's Martin Akubuike in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harrogate's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute, Aluka Bada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liskeard's Ifesinachi Shahada got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Akubuike recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nnamdi Akeredolu was a little too slow when Chidozie Nnanyelugo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-2. Aluka Bada charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aluka Bada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aluka Bada hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Martin Akubuike came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Liskeard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Akubuike couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Aluka Bada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Liskeard's Martin Akubuike in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harrogate's goalie prevented a goal. Nnamdi Akeredolu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ndubuagha Ogor, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Chidozie Nnanyelugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Omotayo Olutola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Nkut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liskeard played a much better game than Harrogate and deserved their victory. The Harrogate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
