Spectators: 7574 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1974, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Akubuike started the match with the kick off. Dare Amarachi kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Omotayo Olutola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Choice Adewale in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Martin Akubuike managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liskeard's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Akubuike was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uchenna Obiyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Akubuike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Uchenna Obiyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Chidozie Nnanyelugo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uchenna Obiyo. Hilltown FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chidozie Nnanyelugo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Chidiegwu Ihebulu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omotayo Olutola having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Hilltown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Choice Adewale to maneuver through the defense. Uchenna Obiyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emelogu Abiche in the 27th minute of play. Uchenna Obiyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chidozie Nnanyelugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Emelogu Abiche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uchenna Obiyo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Akubuike in the 33rd minute of play forced Hilltown FC's goalkeeper Uchenna Obiyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the match, Emelogu Abiche tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uchenna Obiyo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Hilltown FC's zone, Promise Agali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uchenna Obiyo came out of the goal and Promise Agali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uchenna Obiyo made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Martin Akubuike sent off a good shot on target. Emelogu Abiche struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Uchenna Obiyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liskeard. In the 42nd minute of the match, Martin Akubuike tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Uchenna Obiyo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Uchenna Obiyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Akubuike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Hilltown FC's zone, Emelogu Abiche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uchenna Obiyo came out of the goal and Emelogu Abiche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chidiegwu Ihebulu to strike the kick off in the second half. Uchenna Obiyo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Akubuike's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Omotayo Olutola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chigbo Kaku in the 58th minute. In the 59th match minute, Liskeard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chijioke Garo to maneuver through the defense. Uchenna Obiyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chidozie Nnanyelugo in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Hilltown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Choice Adewale to maneuver through the defense. Martin Akubuike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Uchenna Obiyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ndubuagha Ogor in the 67th minute of play forced Hilltown FC's goalkeeper Uchenna Obiyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dare Amarachi got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 69 played minutes Liskeard got a freekick which was hit by Dare Amarachi. Chigbo Kaku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omotayo Olutola having to interfere. Uchenna Obiyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Akubuike in the 74th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Chigbo Kaku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Akubuike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Uchenna Obiyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Choice Adewale kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Uchenna Obiyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Akubuike, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Herbert Abodunde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liskeard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Abodunde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hilltown FC booed when Liskeard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chijioke Garo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amuchenna Adaramoye got free with Omotayo Olutola in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Liskeard fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Liskeard's Martin Akubuike looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There was no doubt that Liskeard were the better team. Liskeard's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
