Gozie Obikwelu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chidozie Nnanyelugo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Oyeyiola Olutola came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Omotayo Olutola could save by the left post. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rawmarsh's goalkeeper Gozie Obikwelu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Chidozie Nnanyelugo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gozie Obikwelu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 73 minutes, Martin Akubuike managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liskeard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Akubuike was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ndubuagha Ogor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
