Rawtenstall's Rapuokwu Ijemere pulled a muscle in his leg after 8 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Mutiu Iloabachie charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mutiu Iloabachie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rawtenstall booed when Fc Dynamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mutiu Iloabachie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kosi Adefarasin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bartholomew Eyitayo. Fc Dynamo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 12th minute Deeyah Adebodun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartholomew Eyitayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osita Amu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartholomew Eyitayo having to make a save. 14 minutes into the game, Dammy Okunowo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawtenstall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Dynamo the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Onyenachiya Nwagwu got free with Otitodilichukwu Echiegu in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Rawtenstall's Echendu Nwadibia got a free kick in the 18th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Echendu Nwadibia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawtenstall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Dynamo the free kick. The goalkeeper, Otitodilichukwu Echiegu, was totally fooled by Fc Dynamo's Mutiu Iloabachie, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Dynamo's zone, Osita Amu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartholomew Eyitayo came out of the goal and Osita Amu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Onyenachiya Nwagwu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osita Amu struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Bartholomew Eyitayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rawtenstall. Bartholomew Eyitayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dammy Okunowo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osita Amu made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Rawtenstall's Osita Amu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After having played for 56 minutes, Osita Amu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawtenstall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osita Amu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osita Amu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bartholomew Eyitayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Rawtenstall were awarded a corner. Kosi Adefarasin went to the cornerflag to take it. Rawtenstall's Kosi Adefarasin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bartholomew Eyitayo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 81 minutes, Osita Amu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rawtenstall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osita Amu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osita Amu in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartholomew Eyitayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Fc Dynamo's Bartholomew Eyitayo got control of the ball when Deeyah Adebodun tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Osita Amu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Deeyah Adebodun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osita Amu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartholomew Eyitayo having to make a save. Rawtenstall's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
