Sampson Oyeoku showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sampson Oyeoku could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Aderemi Ballah made a huge save. Ugonna Benneth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ete Charlie Affe having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sampson Oyeoku got free with Aderemi Ballah in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Udokamma Ribadu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes Kambina Olugbodi shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Aderemi Ballah when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Samson Etoh Nwanguma hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Mbadiwe Okonkwo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sawbridgeworth AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mbadiwe Okonkwo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Sawbridgeworth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Somadina Dugu came free, but Ete Charlie Affe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aderemi Ballah was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Mbadiwe Okonkwo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mbadiwe Okonkwo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Mbadiwe Okonkwo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aderemi Ballah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mbadiwe Okonkwo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sawbridgeworth AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Chibuzor Ayotunde hit a great ball. Sampson Oyeoku sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Somadina Dugu to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Feranmi cf's goalkeeper Aderemi Ballah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sawbridgeworth AFC's Ete Charlie Affe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Sawbridgeworth AFC from getting a goal against them. After 58 played minutes Feranmi cf got a freekick which was hit by Samson Etoh Nwanguma. A collision led to Feranmi cf getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Samson Etoh Nwanguma hit a great ball. Thompson Amusan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Sawbridgeworth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adamu Chhikeze. 69 minutes into the match, Ugonna Benneth notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Sawbridgeworth AFC's Ete Charlie Affe. Ete Charlie Affe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute of the match, Ugonna Benneth got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ete Charlie Affe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mbadiwe Okonkwo in the 74th minute of play forced Feranmi cf's goalkeeper Aderemi Ballah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aderemi Ballah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sampson Oyeoku in the 86th minute of the match. Aderemi Ballah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sampson Oyeoku, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Mbadiwe Okonkwo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Aderemi Ballah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sawbridgeworth AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Feranmi cf had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
