In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mullen's goalkeeper Lokon Gwalabe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olisanugo Achilike in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lokon Gwalabe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chimaraoke Etim might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adegun Elejiko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chimaraoke Etim ran back to his position shaking his head. Gidon Adeleke's late challenge caught a Mullen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gidon Adeleke helped the player get up and apologised. If Olisanugo Achilike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Okwudili Okozi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mullen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halton Holegate AFC the free kick. A collision led to Mullen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Okwudili Okozi hit a great ball. After 96 played minutes Mullen got a freekick which was hit by Okwudili Okozi. When the final whistle sounded Halton Holegate AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mullen.
