Adenuga Kimitei didn't quite understand what happened when in the 4 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Jibril Anzigah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinus Omoko in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Tolulope Peter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oyeyiola Erogbogbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Fleetwood City's goal looked a bit too open when Tolulope Peter came free, but Oyeyiola Erogbogbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ike Abiakam in the 16th minute of play. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ike Abiakam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bucknell booed when Fleetwood City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kunaiyi Owomoyela didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ike Abiakam came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Bucknell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ike Abiakam couldn't finish the play. Paulinus Omoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jibril Anzigah having to interfere. If Ike Abiakam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bucknell getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tolulope Peter hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Ike Abiakam made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fleetwood City's Oyeyiola Erogbogbo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tolulope Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolulope Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 48 played minutes Fleetwood City got a freekick which was hit by Yussuf Akinsehinde. The Fleetwood City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bucknell were winning 0-1.

Ebii Ekpo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tolulope Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ike Abiakam in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oyeyiola Erogbogbo saved Fleetwood City from getting behind. Ike Abiakam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oyeyiola Erogbogbo having to interfere. Fleetwood City's Oyeyiola Erogbogbo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Fleetwood City from getting a goal against them. Bucknell's Chidumaga Nwankwo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Oyeyiola Erogbogbo but with some difficulty. After 74 minutes of play Fleetwood City's Yussuf Akinsehinde was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 74th match minute, Fleetwood City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yussuf Akinsehinde to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Tolulope Peter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tolulope Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oyeyiola Erogbogbo having to interfere. Ike Abiakam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fleetwood City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Ike Abiakam scored to the left of an out of position Oyeyiola Erogbogbo, making the score, 0-4. If Ike Abiakam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ike Abiakam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
