Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chukwufumnanya Oliseh took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bolakale Mbanongun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chukwufumnanya Oliseh in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Yate FC booed when Beast FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mannaseh Namadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Beast FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfred Nkwocha. 14 minutes into the match, Beast FC's goalkeeper Bolakale Mbanongun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boniface Ephraim. Bolakale Mbanongun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chukwufumnanya Oliseh, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Beast FC's James Adanri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bankole Moses made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Andy Awhu-whu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Adanri might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bankole Moses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. James Adanri ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Chukwufumnanya Oliseh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bolakale Mbanongun was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After 32 played minutes Beast FC got a freekick which was hit by Bina Onyinyechi. Bolakale Mbanongun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chukwufumnanya Oliseh, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Andy Awhu-whu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beast FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Awhu-whu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bankole Moses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the game, Mannaseh Namadi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beast FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yate FC the free kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Andy Awhu-whu made the kick off in the second half. Ike Obiabo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boniface Ephraim in the 56th minute of play forced Beast FC's goalkeeper Bolakale Mbanongun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bolakale Mbanongun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boniface Ephraim's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Chukwufumnanya Oliseh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bolakale Mbanongun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bankole Moses came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Beast FC's Andy Awhu-whu. But to his dismay, Andy Awhu-whu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Bankole Moses showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Awhu-whu in the 70th minute of the match. Bolakale Mbanongun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chukwufumnanya Oliseh in the 77th minute of play. Chukwufumnanya Oliseh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bolakale Mbanongun having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Beast FC's zone, Chukwufumnanya Oliseh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bolakale Mbanongun came out of the goal and Chukwufumnanya Oliseh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andy Awhu-whu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bankole Moses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy Awhu-whu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bankole Moses having to interfere.
