When Ebii Ekpo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fleetwood City's protests and gave Ebii Ekpo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brampton City booed when Fleetwood City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ebii Ekpo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 7 in the game by Halim Abisogun from a close distance when the talented Oyeyiola Erogbogbo managed to make a qualified save. Fleetwood City's players were relieved. Halim Abisoguns short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Oyeyiola Erogbogbo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Ini Odey took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Oyeyiola Erogbogbo to make any attempt to save it. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ini Odey, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Abdu Eshieshi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinus Omoko in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Yussuf Akinsehinde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdu Eshieshi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Brampton City's goal looked a bit too open when Ebii Ekpo came free, but Abdu Eshieshi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halim Abisogun got free with Oyeyiola Erogbogbo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Ini Odey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oyeyiola Erogbogbo. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halim Abisogun got free with Oyeyiola Erogbogbo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ini Odey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fleetwood City's Yisa Akingbogun got a free kick in the 44th minute. Paulinus Omoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdu Eshieshi having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After having played for 51 minutes, Anayo Abioye managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brampton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anayo Abioye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brampton City's Anayo Abioye. But to his dismay, Anayo Abioye quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Halim Abisogun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ini Odey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ini Odey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oyeyiola Erogbogbo having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match Chiefo Zeigbo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oyeyiola Erogbogbo skillfully saved the ball. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ini Odey in the 66th minute of play. Ini Odey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Kunaiyi Owomoyela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fleetwood City and the Brampton City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Kunaiyi Owomoyela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ini Odey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yisa Akingbogun kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Yussuf Akinsehinde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fleetwood City's Oyeyiola Erogbogbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ini Odey in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Ini Odey notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Fleetwood City's Oyeyiola Erogbogbo. Oyeyiola Erogbogbo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yussuf Akinsehinde during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 90 minutes into the match, Brampton City's Chiefo Zeigbo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. During the 93rd minute of the match Kunaiyi Owomoyela completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kunaiyi Owomoyela a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 95th minute, Halim Abisogun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ini Odey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oyeyiola Erogbogbo was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brampton City fully deserved thier win.
