Chukwufumnanya Oliseh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jibrin Nnamoko having to interfere. Boniface Ephraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gold's attack was well implemented in the 13th minute, but when Obiora Akinyugha was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Obiora Akinyugha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Bankole Moses made a huge save. With a little luck, Yate FC's Bankole Moses got control of the ball when Obiora Akinyugha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enemuo Okobi in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bankole Moses prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chinonyelum Iwuanyanwu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Bankole Moses was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enemuo Okobi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Boniface Ephraim scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jibrin Nnamoko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Chukwufumnanya Oliseh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boniface Ephraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jibrin Nnamoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 minutes of play, Yate FC's Boniface Ephraim made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jibrin Nnamoko was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afolabi Shagari kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Chukwueloka Onyewuchi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jibrin Nnamoko was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enemuo Okobi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Yate FC's Chukwufumnanya Oliseh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jibrin Nnamoko. Jibrin Nnamoko yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Bo Bello kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Obiora Akinyugha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yate FC's Bankole Moses was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Takuma Saubana fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gold's protests and gave Takuma Saubana a yellow card for diving instead. Takuma Saubana hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Gold's Obiora Akinyugha in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yate FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Gold's Law Nnaemeka got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Gold's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Chukwufumnanya Oliseh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Onyemachukwu Okonkwo during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Onyemachukwu Okonkwo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Yate FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
