But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chukwufumnanya Oliseh couldn't finish the play. Chukwufumnanya Oliseh struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Udochukwu Omorodion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yate FC. After a rather tough play, Arising star fa's Chiekwugo Azazi got a free kick in the 15th minute. Chukwueloka Onyewuchi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arising star fa's zone, Chukwufumnanya Oliseh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Udochukwu Omorodion came out of the goal and Chukwufumnanya Oliseh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boniface Ephraim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Udochukwu Omorodion having to interfere. Boniface Ephraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bankole Moses didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samson Etoh Adeeko went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Udochukwu Omorodion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chukwufumnanya Oliseh in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chukwufumnanya Oliseh in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Udochukwu Omorodion saved Arising star fa from getting behind. Bo Bello hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chinwe Abiola in the 35th minute of play forced Yate FC's goalkeeper Bankole Moses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samson Etoh Adeeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bankole Moses having to interfere. Udochukwu Omorodion came out of the goal and Boniface Ephraim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Yate FC booed when Arising star fa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nnachetam Famewo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Boniface Ephraim came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Yate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boniface Ephraim couldn't finish the play. Chinwe Abiola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chukwufumnanya Oliseh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Arising star fa getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Onyekaozulu Alumona hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Bo Bello made a precise shot to the right of Udochukwu Omorodion. Arising star fa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 74 minutes into the game, Osonduagwuike Oko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arising star fa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yate FC the free kick. In the 74th minute, one of Arising star fa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arising star fa. The referee gave Yate FC a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chukwueloka Onyewuchi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arising star fa's Udochukwu Omorodion. 2-3. A collision led to Arising star fa getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Chiekwugo Azazi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Chukwufumnanya Oliseh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Udochukwu Omorodion was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 89 minutes into the game, Nnachetam Famewo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arising star fa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yate FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Arising star fa's Nnachetam Famewo got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Chukwueloka Onyewuchi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Udochukwu Omorodion showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Chukwufumnanya Oliseh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Yate FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
