Chiefo Zeigbo charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiefo Zeigbo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bolakale Mbanongun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ini Odey in the 9th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Brampton City got a freekick which was hit by Anayo Abioye. Bolakale Mbanongun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halim Abisogun, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Bolakale Mbanongun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halim Abisogun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Ini Odey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brampton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ini Odey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beast FC's Bolakale Mbanongun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halim Abisogun in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Beast FC booed when Brampton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiefo Zeigbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdu Eshieshi made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Adanri in the 45th minute. Brampton City's Abdu Eshieshi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Brampton City from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when James Adanri made the kick off in the second half.
