With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jibrin Nnamoko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Andy Awhu-whu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beast FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Awhu-whu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jibrin Nnamoko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Takuma Saubana hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gold's zone, Andy Awhu-whu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jibrin Nnamoko came out of the goal and Andy Awhu-whu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Andy Awhu-whu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beast FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Awhu-whu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jibrin Nnamoko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Awhu-whu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Gold's Takuma Saubana got a free kick in the 38th minute. Andy Awhu-whu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jibrin Nnamoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Adanri in the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gold's Omonigho Okonkwo got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Beast FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andy Awhu-whu was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gold's goalkeeper Jibrin Nnamoko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gold's Jibrin Nnamoko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Gold from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Beast FC's Mannaseh Namadi got a free kick in the 70th minute. Enemuo Okobi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bolakale Mbanongun having to interfere. Jibrin Nnamoko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Awhu-whu in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obiora Akinyugha in the 78th minute of play forced Beast FC's goalkeeper Bolakale Mbanongun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Adanri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Jibrin Nnamoko when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jibrin Nnamoko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but James Adanri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 92 minute of play. Beast FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
