Spectators: 8408 (Terracing: 6306, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ime Imaji started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Lagos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laudamus Taura to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Bina Akintemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deyour Oyai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Bromyard's Ibekwe Asokuh got control of the ball when Osaze Udem tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bromyard's zone, Ime Imaji stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ibekwe Asokuh came out of the goal and Ime Imaji tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bina Akintemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Deyour Oyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Osaze Udem could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Ibekwe Asokuh however easily saved by the left post. Deyour Oyai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feyisayo Tunde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes, Bromyard's Osita Onyemaechi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Deyour Oyai came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bromyard reached it. Deyour Oyai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ajuluchukwu Jakada went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Feyisayo Tunde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Deyour Oyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deyour Oyai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Obafemi Udenkwor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omolola Babangida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ibekwe Asokuh. Bromyard's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bina Akintemi to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Bromyard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okwii Enyeama to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ime Imaji's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ibekwe Asokuh was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Bromyard's Obafemi Udenkwor got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lagos FC's Deyour Oyai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Lagos FC from getting a goal against them. Ajuluchukwu Jakada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Deyour Oyai having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ime Imaji in the 70th minute of play forced Bromyard's goalkeeper Ibekwe Asokuh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oluchi Anyanechi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Deyour Oyai. Lagos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Feyisayo Tunde might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Deyour Oyai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feyisayo Tunde ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ime Imaji in the 88th minute of play forced Bromyard's goalkeeper Ibekwe Asokuh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bromyard getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Okwii Enyeama hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Ajuluchukwu Jakada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Deyour Oyai, 0-3. If Bina Akintemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bromyard's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
