The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olamide Eshieshi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Deyour Oyai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kodili Dada in the 16th minute of play. Sunday Odumegwu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Deyour Oyai made a huge save. 19 minutes into the game, Sunday Odumegwu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Deyour Oyai. Sunday Odumegwu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Kodili Dada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Sunday Odumegwu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hilperton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sunday Odumegwu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deyour Oyai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kodili Dada, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Sunday Odumegwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deyour Oyai having to interfere. Laudamus Taura's late challenge caught a Hilperton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laudamus Taura helped the player get up and apologised. Laudamus Taura hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Chukwukadibia Bagudo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deyour Oyai skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezekiel Akinwunmi during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hilperton City were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Lagos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Osinachi Khumbotso took the corner. Chukwukadibia Bagudo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Deyour Oyai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sunday Odumegwu made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sunday Odumegwu in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deyour Oyai saved Lagos FC from getting behind. Christian Akpapunam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deyour Oyai having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Hilperton City's Olamide Eshieshi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Deyour Oyai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Deyour Oyai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olamide Eshieshi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd match minute, Lagos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muda Adebesin to maneuver through the defense. Nnachetam Kato hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sunday Odumegwu took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Deyour Oyai. Deyour Oyai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 73 minutes into the match, Sunday Odumegwu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Deyour Oyai. Lagos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sunday Odumegwu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Ime Imaji got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some careless play in the Lagos FC defense, Sunday Odumegwu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deyour Oyai. The Lagos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deyour Oyai should have stopped the shot.
