Spectators: 8455 (Terracing: 6342, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tolu Yabani got the match started through his kick off. FC Pirate's Tolu Yabani got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sunday Odumegwu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ndubuisi Dogara having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Kodili Dada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hilperton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Kodili Dada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ndubuisi Dogara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sunday Odumegwu in the 31st minute of play forced FC Pirate's goalkeeper Ndubuisi Dogara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Kabiru Oyinlola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ndubuisi Dogara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sunday Odumegwu in the 41st minute of the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Sunday Odumegwu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pirate's Ndubuisi Dogara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pirate's goalkeeper Ndubuisi Dogara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Hilperton City were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kodili Dada made a kick off. Eberechukwu Adekoje fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enoch Alhasssan having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Sunday Odumegwu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ndubuisi Dogara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ndubuisi Dogara made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Sunday Odumegwu sent off a good shot on target. Sunday Odumegwu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ndubuisi Dogara firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ndubuisi Dogara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kodili Dada, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Hilperton City booed when FC Pirate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onwuka Ogbuke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sunday Odumegwu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, FC Pirate's goal looked a bit too open when Kodili Dada came free, but Ndubuisi Dogara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Hilperton City got a freekick which was hit by Olamide Eshieshi. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pirate's zone, Kodili Dada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ndubuisi Dogara came out of the goal and Kodili Dada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute Kodili Dada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ndubuisi Dogara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Pirate's Ndubuisi Dogara got control of the ball when Sunday Odumegwu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enoch Alhasssan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolu Yabani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Pirate's Ndubuisi Dogara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pirate from getting a goal against them. The FC Pirate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hilperton City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
