In a very dangerous position, a player in Lagos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Lagos FC's Deyour Oyai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bina Nwagwu in the 20th minute of play. Osaze Udem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. James Adeleru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Bina Nwagwu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OGUNMOLA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bina Nwagwu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bina Nwagwu in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deyour Oyai saved Lagos FC from getting behind. Bina Nwagwu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Deyour Oyai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Bina Nwagwu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toby Adelabu made a kick off. Ime Imaji struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. James Adeleru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagos FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ime Imaji in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg James Adeleru saved OGUNMOLA FC from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Lagos FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jeremiah Momoh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of OGUNMOLA FC booed when Lagos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deyour Oyai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bina Nwagwu in the 72nd minute. Oluwatosin Johnson Famewo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Leo Kako hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Lagos FC's Omolola Babangida broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Lagos FC's goalkeeper Deyour Oyai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bina Nwagwu. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. OGUNMOLA FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
