RIVERS UNITED's Dike Balogun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save RIVERS UNITED from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Dike Balogun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dike Balogun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sunday Odumegwu in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kodili Dada in the 73rd minute of play forced RIVERS UNITED's goalkeeper Dike Balogun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enoch Alhasssan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osinachi Khumbotso hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Jacob Nalaya came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the RIVERS UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Nalaya couldn't finish the play. If Ajayi Olumuyiwa Aganun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
