Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Godalming's Nkechi Ikaba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joy Ekhosuehi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odii Yusuf in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Godalming's Joy Ekhosuehi got control of the ball when Odii Yusuf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Odii Yusuf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Feyisayo Ndupuechi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Chuma Uche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oyakhilome Efangwu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nwachinemelu Aatama charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nwachinemelu Aatama the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, Nwachinemelu Aatama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feyisayo Ndupuechi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Chuma Uche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odii Yusuf scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joy Ekhosuehi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Oyakhilome Efangwu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beckton's supporters rose to their feet, but Oyakhilome Efangwu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joy Ekhosuehi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chukwujekwu Okon charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chukwujekwu Okon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Beckton getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Chukwujekwu Okon hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Oyakhilome Efangwu made the kick off in the second half. If Nkechi Ikaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Oyakhilome Efangwu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Godalming's Joy Ekhosuehi. Joy Ekhosuehi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Godalming's Joy Ekhosuehi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oyakhilome Efangwu in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Feyisayo Ndupuechi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godalming's supporters rose to their feet, but Feyisayo Ndupuechi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuma Uche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66thth minute of the game Odii Yusuf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Godalming's Joy Ekhosuehi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Agustine Uchendu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Oyakhilome Efangwu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joy Ekhosuehi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beckton were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Godalming's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nwokeocha Ismaila Taiwo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Beckton's corner Nwokeocha Ismaila Taiwo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joy Ekhosuehi quite easily take care of the ball. Feyisayo Ndupuechi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuma Uche having to interfere. Nwachinemelu Aatama was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 84 played minutes Godalming got a freekick which was hit by Nwachinemelu Aatama. In the 96th minute Odii Yusuf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joy Ekhosuehi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beckton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Godalming had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
