After 22 played minutes Trimley got a freekick which was hit by Warman Ejem. When Chuma Etete came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Levenshulme City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chuma Etete couldn't finish the play. Abubakar Onasanya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abubakar Onasanya's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Samson Etoh Agbonavbare skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuma Etete in the 41st minute of play forced Trimley's goalkeeper Ejike Okechukwu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ejike Okechukwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuma Etete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chuma Etete made the kick off in the second half. Ejike Okechukwu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuma Etete in the 51st minute of the match. Opah Adebajo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Trimley's Abubakar Onasanya got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wasiu Omeokachie kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Abubakar Onasanya made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Levenshulme City's Samson Etoh Agbonavbare tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 played minutes Levenshulme City got a freekick which was hit by Mohammadu Okozi. After a defensive mix-up in Levenshulme City's zone, Ossy Onwuachi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare came out of the goal and Ossy Onwuachi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abubakar Onasanya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Trimley's Abubakar Onasanya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ossy Onwuachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ossy Onwuachi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Trimley had won after a very even match.
