Anorigwo Oladele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuma Etete in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Mudashiru Bamsebi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enyimba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Levenshulme City the free kick. Dahunsi Ughaelu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammadu Okozi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Levenshulme City's Samson Etoh Agbonavbare got control of the ball when Dahunsi Ughaelu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 minutes, Friday Bemekun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Levenshulme City and the Enyimba players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Levenshulme City getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Friday Bemekun hit a great ball. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dahunsi Ughaelu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Anorigwo Oladele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohammadu Okozi in the 57th minute. Mohammadu Okozi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Anorigwo Oladele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Levenshulme City. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Enyimba's Dahunsi Ughaelu. But to his dismay, Dahunsi Ughaelu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 80 minutes of play Levenshulme City's Friday Bemekun was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Friday Bemekun hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nwokezuike Adaga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samson Etoh Agbonavbare was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. A collision led to Enyimba getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mudashiru Bamsebi hit a great ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Dahunsi Ughaelu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Levenshulme City's Samson Etoh Agbonavbare was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nwokezuike Adaga in the 89th minute of play forced Levenshulme City's goalkeeper Samson Etoh Agbonavbare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Levenshulme City got a corner. Enyimba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Isaac Achi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Levenshulme City's Isaac Achi to fire away a dangerous shot which Anorigwo Oladele despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 95 minutes of play, Enyimba's Nwokezuike Adaga made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samson Etoh Agbonavbare was left in no man's land by his defense there!
