Al-Shabaab's Moruf Gbenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Obi Mbong in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chiemenam Egbuonu to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Greg Otelaja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moruf Gbenga. Al-Shabaab's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Greg Otelaja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 80thth minute of the game Dick Nwigwe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Al-Shabaab's Moruf Gbenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st match minute, Al-Shabaab was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiemenam Egbuonu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obi Mbong in the 86th minute of play forced Al-Shabaab's goalkeeper Moruf Gbenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Frodsham players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
