Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dick Nwigwe got the match started through his kick off. Ejike Okechukwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Nwigwe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Frodsham got a freekick which was hit by Chigo Akinyele. 9 minutes into the match, Somadina Okpongete sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Hanyeolisa Adegoroye threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Somadina Okpongete this time. When Frodsham's Dick Nwigwe in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trimley's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the game, Greg Otelaja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ejike Okechukwu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Warman Ejem hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Obi Mbong hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Greg Otelaja in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ejike Okechukwu saved Trimley from getting behind. Ossy Onwuachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Kambinachi Adeyinka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frodsham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trimley the free kick. After 39 played minutes Frodsham got a freekick which was hit by Kambinachi Adeyinka. Hanyeolisa Adegoroye made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abubakar Onasanya in the 45th minute. Dick Nwigwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ejike Okechukwu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ossy Onwuachi made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Trimley's Somadina Okpongete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hanyeolisa Adegoroye narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Trimley getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Warman Ejem hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute Kambinachi Adeyinka ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Ejike Okechukwu. 0-2. A collision led to Frodsham getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Onyekachi Dogo hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, one of Trimley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abubakar Onasanya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Greg Otelaja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duke Ademayowa charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duke Ademayowa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Frodsham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duke Ademayowa to maneuver through the defense. Abubakar Onasanya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hanyeolisa Adegoroye having to interfere. Hanyeolisa Adegoroye took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abubakar Onasanya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abubakar Onasanya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Trimley's Ejike Okechukwu got control of the ball when Greg Otelaja tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute, one of Trimley:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Trimley. Kambinachi Adeyinka shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Frodsham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Frodsham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
