Chuks FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dahunsi Obiamaka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Lincoln FC's Chukwuraenye Arumona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olalekan Ezeagba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Chuks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chukwuraenye Arumona came free, but Olalekan Ezeagba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dahunsi Obiamaka charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dahunsi Obiamaka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dahunsi Obiamaka hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Dahunsi Obiamaka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akubundu Adefulu having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ositadimma Olaoye in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olalekan Ezeagba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Chukwuraenye Arumona notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba. Olalekan Ezeagba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chukwuraenye Arumona in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Dahunsi Obiamaka made the kick off in the second half. Kelvin Salako kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Chukwuraenye Arumona made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 55thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Olalekan Ezeagba would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 62nd minute Ettah Ayoka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akubundu Adefulu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes, Chuks FC's Mobi Tokumbo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akubundu Adefulu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chuks FC reached it. Olalekan Ezeagba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chukwuraenye Arumona, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The Chuks FC fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Chuks FC's Dahunsi Obiamaka looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ositadimma Olaoye struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Olalekan Ezeagba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lincoln FC. Lincoln FC's Akubundu Adefulu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ifesinachi Musa in the 80th minute of play. If Ositadimma Olaoye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dahunsi Obiamaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chuks FC's Olalekan Ezeagba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Chuks FC from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Ettah Ayoka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chuks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lincoln FC the free kick. Ettah Ayoka hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lincoln FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chuks FC.
