Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Osi Hamma made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Akpan Hashimu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute Akpan Hashimu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erhabor Wadada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Ijeagha adegbenjo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada. Erhabor Wadada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the game, Mannaseh Akpan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hellfire FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daniel united the free kick. In the 20th minute, Mannaseh Akpan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hellfire FC's Oyakhilome Adedayo was substituted for Comfort Ogbeche. Emelogu Okechi kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Kunaiyi Oladapo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Eddy Obafuso kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Erhabor Wadada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ijeli Mbong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ijeli Mbong in the 54th minute of play forced Hellfire FC's goalkeeper Erhabor Wadada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erhabor Wadada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ijeagha adegbenjo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Mma Hashimu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aderounmu Njoku was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mma Hashimu took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aderounmu Njoku. Aderounmu Njoku dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Aderounmu Njoku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mma Hashimu, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Akpan Hashimu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Erhabor Wadada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akpan Hashimu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Erhabor Wadada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Daniel united. If Osi Hamma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akpan Hashimu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 88th minute, Ijeagha adegbenjo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erhabor Wadada. The goal made the score 2-3. With a little luck, Hellfire FC's Erhabor Wadada got control of the ball when Ijeagha adegbenjo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Daniel united supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Daniel united would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
