After a rather tough play, Theorah FC's Otutodilichukwu Daika got a free kick in the 20th minute. Iheanacho Omole made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ekpeyong Koshoni in the 23rd minute. Egobudike Ishola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yege Abhiele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eluemuno Eghagha in the 52nd minute of play forced Theorah FC's goalkeeper Iheanacho Omole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
