Paulinam fc's Obialo Onyemachi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yege Abhiele in the 21st minute of play. Otutodilichukwu Daika took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Obialo Onyemachi. Obialo Onyemachi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Theorah FC booed when Paulinam fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ifeajuna Uwen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Yege Abhiele managed to get in a good position for a shot. Theorah FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yege Abhiele was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Obialo Onyemachi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulinam fc's Okelola Etafia got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Theorah FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kayode Ekhosuehi hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Obialo Onyemachi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 53rd minute of play. Yege Abhiele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Obialo Onyemachi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otutodilichukwu Daika, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ifeanyi Uwaegbute might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iheanacho Omole. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ifeanyi Uwaegbute ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Paulinam fc's goal looked a bit too open when Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike came free, but Obialo Onyemachi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ebii Onwumechili in the 68th minute of play forced Theorah FC's goalkeeper Iheanacho Omole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Paulinam fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ebii Onwumechili to maneuver through the defense. Otutodilichukwu Daika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Obialo Onyemachi having to interfere. Obialo Onyemachi was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Otutodilichukwu Daika capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otutodilichukwu Daika really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Obialo Onyemachi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike in the 81st minute. When Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Theorah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Obialo Onyemachi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Paulinam fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Theorah FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
