Theorah FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akpan Hashimu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yege Abhiele got free with Aderounmu Njoku in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abass Otelaja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iheanacho Omole having to interfere. Abass Otelaja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Akpan Hashimu put in a rough tackle. 20 minutes into the game, one of Daniel united:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The penalty shot was made by Tamarautare Chinemenma, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bamisile Aghanya in the 26th minute of play forced Theorah FC's goalkeeper Iheanacho Omole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Daniel united from getting a goal against them. After 29 minutes, Yege Abhiele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Theorah FC and the Daniel united players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yege Abhiele kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Otutodilichukwu Daika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aderounmu Njoku didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Oni Ayodele went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 42 played minutes Theorah FC got a freekick which was hit by Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Daniel united from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bamisile Aghanya to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Daniel united defense, Otutodilichukwu Daika kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aderounmu Njoku. The Daniel united fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aderounmu Njoku should have stopped the shot.
