An unexpectedly hard shot by Manasseh Ginikanwa in the 8th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, Daniel united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kunaiyi Oladapo to maneuver through the defense. If Odetayo Abe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ijeagha adegbenjo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Kabiru Onanuga made a huge save. Daniel united's Aderounmu Njoku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Daniel united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekechukwu Olaniyi to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd match minute, Shoeburynesss was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamman Ndudim to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tang Zhi Hai in the 34th minute of play forced Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tang Zhi Hai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderounmu Njoku having to interfere. In the 38th minute Awenayeri Ajanaku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Daniel united's goal looked a bit too open when Manasseh Ginikanwa came free, but Aderounmu Njoku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aderounmu Njoku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Akpan Hashimu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ijeagha adegbenjo to strike the kick off in the second half. Tang Zhi Hai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Aderounmu Njoku made a huge save. In the 52nd minute, Emelogu Okechi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Shoeburynesss getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tang Zhi Hai hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Daniel united's Abass Otelaja got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Abduwa Aliyu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aderounmu Njoku. The goal made the score 0-2. In the 59th match minute, Daniel united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ijeagha adegbenjo to maneuver through the defense. Aderounmu Njoku was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Awenayeri Ajanaku showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Aderounmu Njoku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Awenayeri Ajanaku, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Daniel united's Ikem Iwuh seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ikem Iwuh the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Daniel united protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ikem Iwuh had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 73rd minute, the referee gave Shoeburynesss a penalty. Manasseh Ginikanwa looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Aderounmu Njoku. Aderounmu Njoku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manasseh Ginikanwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Aderounmu Njoku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 80th minute of play. Aderounmu Njoku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Awenayeri Ajanaku in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Awenayeri Ajanaku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Shoeburynesss getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ginikanwa Ihebulu hit a great ball. Shoeburynesss played a much better game than Daniel united and deserved their victory. The Daniel united players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
