After a rather tough play, Paulinam fc's Gambo Eghagha got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chinua Ibekwe in the 47th minute of play forced Paulinam fc's goalkeeper Obialo Onyemachi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Okelola Etafia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulinam fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Okelola Etafia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ifeanyichukwu Anyamkegh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sinister Ark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
