But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hanyeolisa Omegara couldn't finish the play. Akin Fasuba scored 3-1 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Obialo Onyemachi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Okelola Etafia put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Iheanacho Omole. Peter Oni Ayodele took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Obialo Onyemachi. Obialo Onyemachi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Obialo Onyemachi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chukwujamuike Onwuzuruike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Otutodilichukwu Daika had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Obialo Onyemachi. Paulinam fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otutodilichukwu Daika was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. The supporters of Theorah FC booed when Paulinam fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekene Ayinla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinam fc's Ebii Onwumechili got his second yellow card of the match in the 98th minute. The referee ordered Ebii Onwumechili off the ground. A collision led to Paulinam fc getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Ebii Onwumechili hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Theorah FC had played much better football throughout.
