Falcons FC's Joseph Alachi suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Akpan Hashimu fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daniel united's protests and gave Akpan Hashimu a yellow card for diving instead. Akpan Hashimu kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Ijeagha adegbenjo scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chidinma Udenkwele, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Murphy Owonaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderounmu Njoku having to interfere. The supporters of Falcons FC booed when Daniel united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akpan Hashimu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chidinma Udenkwele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akpan Hashimu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Jamilu Alerechi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aderounmu Njoku was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Chidinma Udenkwele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ijeagha adegbenjo in the 24th minute of the match. Ijeagha adegbenjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Chidubem Adanri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderounmu Njoku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Falcons FC's Benson Lala got a free kick in the 34th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Ijeagha adegbenjo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Daniel united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ijeagha adegbenjo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ekechukwu Olaniyi hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Ijeli Mbong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ijeagha adegbenjo to make the kick off. When Chidubem Adanri came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Falcons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chidubem Adanri couldn't finish the play. Ijeli Mbong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chidinma Udenkwele having to interfere. If Ijeagha adegbenjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Falcons FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nezie Adeegbe hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Ijeagha adegbenjo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Chidinma Udenkwele was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Falcons FC's zone, Ijeagha adegbenjo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chidinma Udenkwele came out of the goal and Ijeagha adegbenjo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Chidubem Adanri fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aderounmu Njoku, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chidubem Adanri during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chidinma Udenkwele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ijeagha adegbenjo went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Daniel united's goalkeeper Aderounmu Njoku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chidubem Adanri. Jamilu Alerechi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aderounmu Njoku having to interfere. Chidubem Adanri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Aderounmu Njoku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murphy Owonaru scored 4-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aderounmu Njoku, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Falcons FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
