Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) Biodun Ifejiagwa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kiru Amadasu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Real Potters's Mala Fayemi suffered a concussion in the 6th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Dilibe Adedipe fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birmingham's protests and gave Dilibe Adedipe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Dilibe Adedipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 minutes, Nkem Clark made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Birmingham's Godwin Azubuike tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 14 minutes, Sopulu Koko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Potters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sopulu Koko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Birmingham booed when Real Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Makinwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abimbola Ochegbulu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Erfan Argungu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fola Kamba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birmingham's Godwin Azubuike played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiganu Okulolo in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Potters's Dick Makinwa got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Real Potters's goal looked a bit too open when Erfan Argungu came free, but Fola Kamba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Real Potters's Nwanne Fatahi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Godwin Azubuike. Chiganu Okulolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godwin Azubuike having to interfere. Erfan Argungu struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Fola Kamba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Birmingham.
Chiganu Okulolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godwin Azubuike having to interfere. If Chiganu Okulolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiganu Okulolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Godwin Azubuike tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute Abimbola Ochegbulu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godwin Azubuike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Biodun Ifejiagwa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fola Kamba. That made the score 2-1 in the 71 minute of play. Dick Makinwa hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Chiganu Okulolo might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godwin Azubuike. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chiganu Okulolo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Erfan Argungu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egobudike Isiaq struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Godwin Azubuike didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Potters. In the 97th match minute, Birmingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dilibe Adedipe to maneuver through the defense. Real Potters walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
