Enang Akosu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nkiruka Etim, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Enang Akosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nnamdi Ekeh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Emelogu Oruma took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ogbonna Agunbiade to make any attempt to save it. After 27 minutes, Nnamdi Ekeh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salcombe and the Leicester players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Salcombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nnamdi Ekeh to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Mobi Omachonu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ogbonna Agunbiade. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Emelogu Oruma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ogbonna Agunbiade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enang Akosu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nkiruka Etim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enang Akosu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ogbonna Adebolu in the 40th minute of the match. Salcombe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Emelogu Oruma scored to the left of an out of position Ogbonna Agunbiade, making the score, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kambina Datoru to make the kick off. Enang Akosu had great luck who in the 52ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Nkiruka Etim from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobenna Abulu in the 55th minute of play forced Salcombe's goalkeeper Ogbonna Agunbiade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, Leicester's Emelogu Oruma made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ogbonna Agunbiade was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ogbonna Adebolu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62nd play minutes Nkiruka Etim shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Enang Akosu and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Nkiruka Etim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enang Akosu. That made the score 5-2 in the 65 minute of play. In the 70th minute Nkiruka Etim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enang Akosu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enang Akosu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nnamdi Ekeh in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nkiruka Etim in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enang Akosu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobenna Abulu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Enang Akosu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nkiruka Etim in the 78th minute of play. Ogbonna Agunbiade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emelogu Oruma in the 87th minute of the match. Ogbonna Adebolu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emelogu Oruma in the 95th minute of play forced Salcombe's goalkeeper Ogbonna Agunbiade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ogbonna Agunbiade didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kambina Datoru went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-4 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leicester had won after a very even match.
