Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Spalding's Onyeka Adegbesan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tolu Ehigie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onyeka Adegbesan in the 8th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Bitrus John Egungbe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Spalding's zone, Uzo Adar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okolocha Felix Alaba came out of the goal and Uzo Adar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bitrus John Egungbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bosun Alapa fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bristol Centre's protests and gave Bosun Alapa a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Bristol Centre got a freekick which was hit by Bosun Alapa. In the 33rd minute, Onyeka Adegbesan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Bitrus John Egungbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol Centre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bitrus John Egungbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Anayolisa Eshieshi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spalding's supporters rose to their feet, but Anayolisa Eshieshi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolu Ehigie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Uzo Adar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bristol Centre's Uzo Adar got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Bitrus John Egungbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Spalding's zone, Bitrus John Egungbe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Okolocha Felix Alaba came out of the goal and Bitrus John Egungbe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uzo Adar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Okolocha Felix Alaba having to interfere. With a little luck, Bristol Centre's Tolu Ehigie got control of the ball when Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Tolu Ehigie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Okolocha Felix Alaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bitrus John Egungbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tolu Ehigie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onyeka Adegbesan, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes, Anayolisa Eshieshi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spalding and the Bristol Centre players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anayolisa Eshieshi hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uzo Adar in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Okolocha Felix Alaba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 71 minutes of play, Bristol Centre's Uzo Adar made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okolocha Felix Alaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Bitrus John Egungbe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Okolocha Felix Alaba was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, Spalding was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmad Okhumeode Adejare to maneuver through the defense. Bitrus John Egungbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bristol Centre fans cheered their team off the field, for while Spalding had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
