Diss's Ositadimma Odiaka got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 4th match minute, Stonehouse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bimbo Nworgu to maneuver through the defense. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ositadimma Odiaka in the 5th minute of the match. Onuchukwu Olerum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ositadimma Odiaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute, Robai Julius Eromoigbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Ositadimma Odiaka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diss's supporters rose to their feet, but Ositadimma Odiaka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nkemakolam Ezedinma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 15 minutes into the game, Magnus Ukaoha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stonehouse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diss the free kick. Obinna Omolade's late challenge caught a Stonehouse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Obinna Omolade helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stonehouse booed when Diss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Obinna Omolade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Ukaoha was shown his second yellow card after 21 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 22 played minutes Stonehouse got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Ukaoha. Nkemakolam Ezedinma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ositadimma Odiaka in the 32nd minute of the match. Diss's Clever Akpala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Diss from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Diss's Clever Akpala got control of the ball when Robai Julius Eromoigbe tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Diss's goal looked a bit too open when Bimbo Nworgu came free, but Clever Akpala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Onuchukwu Olerum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stonehouse's Nkemakolam Ezedinma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robai Julius Eromoigbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clever Akpala having to interfere. In the 48th minute of the match, Bimbo Nworgu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clever Akpala was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Stonehouse players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Diss were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Onuchukwu Olerum to strike the kick off in the second half. Diss's Clever Akpala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robai Julius Eromoigbe in the 59th minute of play. When Onuchukwu Olerum came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Diss fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onuchukwu Olerum couldn't finish the play. Nkemakolam Ezedinma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Onuchukwu Olerum in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Onuchukwu Olerum made a precise shot to the right of Nkemakolam Ezedinma. Stonehouse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Stonehouse's Robai Julius Eromoigbe got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stonehouse's Nkemakolam Ezedinma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ositadimma Odiaka in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Stonehouse's goalkeeper Nkemakolam Ezedinma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Onuchukwu Olerum. When Robai Julius Eromoigbe came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Stonehouse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robai Julius Eromoigbe couldn't finish the play. Nkemakolam Ezedinma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Onuchukwu Olerum showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 87 minute of play. After 91 played minutes Diss got a freekick which was hit by Osarobo Shittu. After 93 minutes, Robai Julius Eromoigbe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stonehouse and the Diss players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nkemakolam Ezedinma made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Onuchukwu Olerum sent off a good shot on target. Diss's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
