Kabiru Udoka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akabueze Imagbudu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kabiru Udoka having to interfere. Kabiru Udoka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buch Ugwuh in the 18th minute of the match. The supporters of Ebira United Fc booed when Rangers United F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Ugbade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Taye Bature came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ebira United Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taye Bature couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Taye Bature got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rabiu Bamgbelu to strike the kick off in the second half. Kabiru Udoka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taye Bature, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Rangers United F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Taye Bature came free, but Kabiru Udoka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kabiru Udoka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taye Bature, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rabiu Bamgbelu's late challenge caught a Ebira United Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Buch Ugwuh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buch Ugwuh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kabiru Udoka having to make a save. Kabiru Udoka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Taye Bature's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Kabiru Udoka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taye Bature, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Buch Ugwuh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akabueze Imagbudu kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ebira United Fc fully deserved thier win.
