Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robai Julius Eromoigbe started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Blue stars! In the 4th minute there was a penalty for Stonehouse. Bimbo Nworgu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yemi Odumegwu. 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Stonehouse's Magnus Ukaoha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yemi Odumegwu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Nwachukwu Okoduwa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kambinachi Oparaji took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nkemakolam Ezedinma. Nkemakolam Ezedinma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nkemakolam Ezedinma made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Kambinachi Oparaji sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute Robai Julius Eromoigbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yemi Odumegwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ikem Okon hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ikem Okon kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Okeke Achilike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nkemakolam Ezedinma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Stonehouse got a freekick which was hit by JohnObi Obafuso. In the 37th minute Bimbo Nworgu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yemi Odumegwu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yemi Odumegwu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bimbo Nworgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bimbo Nworgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Blue stars's Kambinachi Oparaji got a free kick in the 41st minute. Yemi Odumegwu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robai Julius Eromoigbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Stonehouse's goalkeeper Nkemakolam Ezedinma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kambinachi Oparaji. Nkemakolam Ezedinma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kambinachi Oparaji in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Blue stars's Yemi Odumegwu got control of the ball when Robai Julius Eromoigbe tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Blue stars's goal looked a bit too open when Robai Julius Eromoigbe came free, but Yemi Odumegwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Blue stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okoli Obinna to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 69 in the game by Robai Julius Eromoigbe from a close distance when the talented Yemi Odumegwu managed to make a qualified save. Blue stars's players were relieved. Jibrin Emenike kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Blue stars's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Ukaoha came free, but Yemi Odumegwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Stonehouse fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Stonehouse's Bimbo Nworgu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. During the 79th minute of the match JohnObi Obafuso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave JohnObi Obafuso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 82 minutes, Usman Okutubo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stonehouse and the Blue stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stonehouse's Usman Okutubo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Yemi Odumegwu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Ukaoha in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Nwachukwu Okoduwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nkemakolam Ezedinma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Nwachukwu Okoduwa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Nwachukwu Okoduwa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nkemakolam Ezedinma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Blue stars a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Agbami Adaji, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stonehouse's Nkemakolam Ezedinma. 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robai Julius Eromoigbe got free with Yemi Odumegwu in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blue stars's Yemi Odumegwu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Ukaoha in the 98th minute of play.
