The goalkeeper, Chiazagomekpele Ige, was totally fooled by Enjoy Yourself's Ndidi Akinbiyi, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 16 minutes, Udoka Akau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Enjoy Yourself and the Ebira United Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ebira United Fc booed when Enjoy Yourself was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Udoka Akau didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Ime Sunday Egbanabo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ayila Al-Makura hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Chiazagomekpele Ige made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ime Sunday Egbanabo in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes Ebira United Fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ndidi Akinbiyi who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Enjoy Yourself's corner Ndidi Akinbiyi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chiazagomekpele Ige quite easily take care of the ball. Buch Ugwuh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Taye Bature ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radomil Olender was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Ebira United Fc's Chiazagomekpele Ige got control of the ball when Ime Sunday Egbanabo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ime Sunday Egbanabo was the one to do the kick off. Enjoy Yourself were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Ebira United Fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ndidi Akinbiyi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ndidi Akinbiyi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chiazagomekpele Ige quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 58 minutes of play Enjoy Yourself's Udoka Akau was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 58th minute, Udoka Akau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiazagomekpele Ige took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunaiyi Onuabunchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kunaiyi Onuabunchi came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Enjoy Yourself fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kunaiyi Onuabunchi couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Enjoy Yourself's goal looked a bit too open when Buch Ugwuh came free, but Radomil Olender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Jero Okupe had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Celestine Ifakachukwu charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestine Ifakachukwu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Enjoy Yourself got a freekick which was hit by Celestine Ifakachukwu. 69 minutes into the game, Taye Bature cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Radomil Olender was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Taye Bature's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Radomil Olender firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Kunaiyi Onuabunchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Ajeroh kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Chiazagomekpele Ige showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestine Ifakachukwu, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Kunaiyi Onuabunchi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chiazagomekpele Ige having to make a save. Chioke Awoyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Chiazagomekpele Ige tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taye Bature sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Enjoy Yourself's goalkeeper Radomil Olender had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Taye Bature. Kunaiyi Onuabunchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taye Bature got free with Radomil Olender in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ebira United Fc were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Enjoy Yourself's much stronger midfield.
