Blue stars's Yemi Odumegwu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madukaego Achomadu in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Ikechukwu Abanum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 minutes, Ifeatu Omehia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Enought Ball and the Blue stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Enought Ball's Ifeatu Omehia got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Jibrin Emenike was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Enought Ball the free kick. A collision led to Blue stars getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jibrin Emenike hit a great ball. Beluchi Ndah struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Yemi Odumegwu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Enought Ball. After 17 played minutes Blue stars got a freekick which was hit by Jibrin Emenike. Beluchi Ndah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Blue stars's goal looked a bit too open when Madukaego Achomadu came free, but Yemi Odumegwu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Jibrin Emenike got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blue stars's Otito Asuzu got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Enought Ball's goalkeeper Obinna Ajasin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kambinachi Oparaji. The Blue stars fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Blue stars's Kambinachi Oparaji looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Madukaego Achomadu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Obinna Ajasin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jibrin Emenike in the 38th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Madukaego Achomadu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ibeabuchi Lebechukwu's late challenge caught a Blue stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibeabuchi Lebechukwu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Enought Ball's Ibeabuchi Lebechukwu got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Agbami Adaji kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Beluchi Ndah sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yemi Odumegwu skillfully saved the ball. When Madukaego Achomadu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Enought Ball fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Madukaego Achomadu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Enought Ball's Ibeabuchi Lebechukwu got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Otito Asuzu made a precise shot to the right of Obinna Ajasin. Enought Ball's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After 67 played minutes Enought Ball got a freekick which was hit by Madukaego Achomadu. A collision led to Enought Ball getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jerome Iriah hit a great ball. Blue stars's Agbami Adaji couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Enought Ball. 78 minutes into the match, Enought Ball's goal looked a bit too open when Kambinachi Oparaji came free, but Obinna Ajasin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enought Ball's Obinna Ajasin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nwachukwu Okoduwa in the 80th minute of play. Obinna Ajasin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kambinachi Oparaji, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Kambinachi Oparaji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Obinna Ajasin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Enought Ball defense, Kambinachi Oparaji kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Obinna Ajasin. The Enought Ball fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Obinna Ajasin should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes Enought Ball got a freekick which was hit by Echendu Etete. After recieving a nice pass, Blue stars's Agbami Adaji tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Enought Ball players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blue stars.
