A collision led to Diss getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kieffers Abaku hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Diss's Eluemuno Ogbodo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Abiola Adebambo Izuogu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abiola Adebambo Izuogu got free with Clever Akpala in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abiola Adebambo Izuogu scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clever Akpala, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laudamus Udem in the 26th minute of play forced Diss's goalkeeper Clever Akpala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Osarobo Shittu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 played minutes Long Lawford got a freekick which was hit by Maczerob Wasiu. After 31 played minutes, Diss's Ositadimma Odiaka shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ijeli Animam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Diss reached it. After a rather tough play, Long Lawford's Victor Obinna Ifakachukwu got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the match, Long Lawford's goal looked a bit too open when Ositadimma Odiaka came free, but Ijeli Animam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Onuchukwu Olerum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Onuchukwu Olerum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ijeli Animam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Diss defense, Anene Nanven Garba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clever Akpala. The Diss fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clever Akpala should have stopped the shot. After 44 minutes of play, Long Lawford's Abiola Adebambo Izuogu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clever Akpala was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ositadimma Odiaka in the 48th minute of play forced Long Lawford's goalkeeper Ijeli Animam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onuchukwu Olerum to make the kick off. When Long Lawford's Anene Nanven Garba in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Long Lawford's Ijeli Animam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Long Lawford from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Diss getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Osarobo Shittu hit a great ball. Clever Akpala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laudamus Udem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laudamus Udem in the 61st minute of play forced Diss's goalkeeper Clever Akpala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Laudamus Udem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clever Akpala. Diss's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laudamus Udem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The supporters of Long Lawford booed when Diss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onuchukwu Olerum didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Abiola Adebambo Izuogu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clever Akpala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Long Lawford's goalkeeper Ijeli Animam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Onuchukwu Olerum. Clever Akpala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anene Nanven Garba in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Laudamus Udem notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Diss's Clever Akpala. Clever Akpala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abiola Adebambo Izuogu charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abiola Adebambo Izuogu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Abiola Adebambo Izuogu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th match minute, Long Lawford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Obinna Ifakachukwu to maneuver through the defense. Long Lawford were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Diss for a fine match.
