The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chiazagomekpele Ige stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanley Arinze Ogbo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Akabueze Imagbudu kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Berwick Upon Tweed's goal looked a bit too open when Taye Bature came free, but Malam Ekpo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes, Osi Oliseh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berwick Upon Tweed and the Ebira United Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Berwick Upon Tweed's Osi Oliseh got a free kick in the 31st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A collision led to Berwick Upon Tweed getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Olamide Omananyi hit a great ball. Chiazagomekpele Ige made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iheatu Ajide in the 56th minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Stanley Arinze Ogbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ebira United Fc's Chiazagomekpele Ige was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 played minutes Berwick Upon Tweed got a freekick which was hit by Nnacheta Achi. Akabueze Imagbudu hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Berwick Upon Tweed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nasidi Amaoka to maneuver through the defense. Stanley Arinze Ogbo took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chiazagomekpele Ige. Chiazagomekpele Ige dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Chiazagomekpele Ige tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malam Ekpo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akabueze Imagbudu in the 94th minute of the match. Taye Bature could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Malam Ekpo made a huge save. There was no doubt that Berwick Upon Tweed were the better team. Berwick Upon Tweed's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
